Piers Morgan won’t be appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Monday morning, over coronavirus fears, he has revealed. These are the most common signs and symptoms of coronavirus that you should know about.
Piers has been incredibly vocal about the government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.
But, the former America’s Got Talent judge has explained that he won’t be appearing on Monday’s instalment of GMB.
He has been tested for the coronavirus, over fears that he’s become infected with the virus.
Piers is expecting to receive the results of the test tomorrow.
“UPDATE: On medical advice, and out of an abundance of caution for a mild symptom that arose in past 48hrs, I’ve had a test for COVID-19 and so won’t be working on @GMB until I get the result back, which should be tomorrow,” he tweeted on Sunday evening.
Breakfast TV rival Dan Walker, who hosts BBC Breakfast at the same time as GMB, wished Piers a speedy recovery.
“I hope you’re feeling better soon Piers. Stay safe,” he responded.
The most common symptoms of coronavirus include a new, continuous cough, and shortness of breath.

These include a high fever, the chills, muscle pain, headaches, and a sore throat.
Some patients have also reported losing their sense of smell and taste.
It’s not clear whether Piers has developed any of these tell-tale coronavirus symptoms, however.

If you think that you may have coronavirus, you should self-isolate for at least 14 days.
The virus can be spread easily in the cough or sneeze droplets from an infected individual.
The UK government has advised the public to remain indoors in an attempt to curb the spread of the infection.
The public have been told that they should only be leaving their home for work where absolutely necessary, to go food or medicine shopping, or for one hour of exercise.

If you require immediate medical attention, you’re allowed to leave your home.
Trouble breathing should require an immediate trip to the hospital.
A persistent pain or pressure in the chest is also one of the key emergency symptoms, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
You should also speak to a doctor if you develop a new confusion, or a bluish-coloured face or lips.
